Jen worked closely with the team at Media 10, publishers of Grand Designs magazine and organisers of the Grand Designs Live show, to deliver a 140-page A5 showguide in 2018. Designed to be part companion to the show and part take-home-and-keep publication, the content varied from maps and highlights to Kevin McCloud’s favourite homes from the latest TV series and the latest trends for kitchens, bathrooms, gardens, technology and building.

With two shows – London in spring and Birmingham in autumn – the flatplan of the guide allowed for updated content to be printed for the second show and bound to a run-on of the initial back section, thus saving content creation and associated printing costs. Designed by Kelly Flood, the showguide used Grand Designs fonts and devices from the magazine alongside section colours from the show for an effortless brand extension.
